These dishwasher approved sets may come with a smaller percentage of copper or have a high-quality coating. However, to prevent tarnish and scratches, always wash this cookware by hand.

Oven Use

Copper is malleable at higher temperatures. While the temperatures on your stovetop or oven aren’t high enough to melt the metal, many of these pots and pans are made out of other materials that may not be heat resistant. Make sure you read the manufacturer’s safety guidelines and the user’s manual before using your cookware. The manufacturer should clearly list whether or not the cookware is safe for oven use.

Weight

Copper is a lightweight material.
